Car washes in the United States come in four main formats: the express tunnel, where you stay in the car while a conveyor pulls it through brushes or high-pressure jets; the full-service wash, where attendants vacuum and wipe down the interior after the tunnel; the self-service bay with a coin or card-operated pressure wand, foam brush and vacuums; and the hand wash, where a crew washes and dries the car by hand. Touchless tunnels skip the cloth brushes entirely and rely on chemicals and water pressure, which is gentler on paint but less effective on heavy grime. Most express chains sell an unlimited monthly plan, usually priced at two to three single washes, that is only worth it if you wash more than twice a month. Gas stations often bundle a discounted wash with a fill-up.

I took my brand new 2026 Chevy Equinox there yesterday at 5:45pm. I bought the car the night before. I drove it off the lot at 6:30pm. The car is all blacked out flawless. When the car is out and finished as I walk up immediately notice light scratches all over the drivers side. So I call someone over immediately who tells me they will get the manager. So when the guy comes over first he tries saying he doesn’t see anything. Then all the sudden he does. So he tries telling me that all those scratches are from sand on the road that kicks up and scratches. He said it’s black it’s going to get scratched!! Not what I wanted to hear. First of all it’s mostly all over the drivers side the passenger side wasn’t anywhere as bad. So somehow during all the driving I did from when I bought the car till then the sand on the road caused all these scratches. This is what this guy is trying to tell me. What probably happened was there was something on the brush they used inside to wash the car or something in the towel they used to dry it. Those people don’t care for all I know she dropped the towel on the ground and picked it up with some dirt and scratched my car all over. If it was from sand f

So I went for a wash yesterday at 5:45. The night before I picked up a brand new 2026 Chevy Equinox all blacked out. I drove the car off the lot at 6:30 pm the night before. When the car comes out of the wash I noticed immediately light scratches all over mostly the drivers side. They called the manager over and this guy is trying to tell me that these scratches are from sand on the road as you drive. Despite it being a brand new car. My theory is there was something on the brush the used inside or something on the towel they dried the car with cause why are they mostly on the drivers side. If it was from the road they would be all over. Then he tells me that it’s a black car and it’s gonna get scratches. Yes black is tough but I don’t want to see scratches on my brand new car the 2nd day I own one it and especially after it comes out of a car wash. He offered nothing to make right for this. He told me I need to wax the car. The car is brand new it was just waxed. If you look at the pictures you can see the light scratches all over but from the pictures you can’t understand how much there actually are. cause it’s hard to take pictures of the black paint with the reflections. Not as detailed as they say! I was disappointed. Mats were still very dirty and bird poop was still on the car after wash even after polishing. Fingers cross your experience is better than mines.

$69 car was with tax and this is how may Matt’s get put in? I understand they are busy but this place is trash. Never going back. You guys stink!

I paid $50 for a car wash here and was extremely disappointed. My car still had visible dust and soap streaks all over it when they finished, and to make things worse, they bent my license plate cover. For the price they charge, I expected a thorough wash and attention to detail, but instead I left feeling like I wasted my money. Definitely won’t be coming back.
